Have you considered the question of whether the clothing industry will cause an environmental disaster? It's not a worry.

Fast fashion is developing at the same time, and it also makes rubbish pile up. It is self-evident that the use of pesticides on cotton is harmful to the environment.

Some people may think that the old jeans made of cotton denim are better than the popular synthetic fabrics, but this is not the case.

Linda Greer, director of health projects at the US Natural Resources Defense Council, explained: "processing cotton denim requires crushing by machine equipment and adding water, oxygen and chemical agents. Solid waste is different. Only a small number of solid wastes need to be disposed of."

Luckily, some social responsibility clothing companies are working hard to reduce the negative impact of the process on the environment, and perhaps to some extent, alleviate consumers' guilt.

For example, they make garbage, traceable materials and organic cotton as raw materials to make clothes.

Under the pressure of green organizations, many fashion brands have begun to take action, including Sweden's fast fashion retailer H&M, sports brand Puma, Adidas and so on.

Now, Freitag, an environmental protection bag company from Zurich, Switzerland, has made new progress. This company, known for its recycling of discarded trucks, is the first to introduce environmental protection bags.

Jeans

The jeans are made from flax, cotton and linen, yarn spinning and woven fabrics, and their chemical composition is minimal and no bleaching.

Traditional denim clothing used for polyester thread, metal buttons and rivets are also difficult to degrade.

Freitag has solved this problem. They invented a non spiral button and biodegradable line.

It is not clear whether degradable clothing can promote.

Fashion industry

Towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable development direction, however, Freitag's new jeans made of four kinds of degradable denim have indeed solved some problems related to the environmental protection of clothing, such as material pportation, chemical use and processing, cotton fabric substitutes, etc.

Freitag's classic waist and jeans FivePocketJeans is made of self-developed F-abricDenim denim - a durable twill based on linen and hemp fiber, and 100% can be biodegradable.

E500MaleDenim (E500 men's jeans) is made from a heavy 19 ounces denim, which is now on sale.

MarkusFreitag, founder and creative director, said: "last year, we began to study the use of broken twill for garments, and produce jeans made of bast fiber fabrics around 2500 kilometers round Zurich.

One of the characteristics of this jeans is that if you wear them down, you just take the buttons off and put them in the compost, and they will completely degrade.

MarkusFreitag (and DanielFreitag two brothers, driven by ecological awareness, founded Freitag in 1993. The first batch of products was a messenger bag made from recycled truck waterproof cloth. In 2011, the company published magazine Reportagen, focusing on reporting investigative journalists' stories; last autumn, the company introduced sustainable and biodegradable products.

Fabric

The F-abric led small garment line has expanded the scale of the company's sustainable business.

Markus Freitag said: "F-abric clothing 100% can be degraded, and they can even act as plant soil.

We have received very positive feedback, which motivates us to further improve the garment series from materials and other aspects. For those who have not yet noticed that we are also a clothing brand of female consumers, we are particularly concerned (they are our potential customers).

Over the years, Freitag has been intensive in the field of environmental protection bags, and its business is spread all over the world, and has rich experience in the sustainable utilization of materials.

Now that they are involved in the field of environmental protection fabrics, will we start a fabric revolution? We will wait and see.
