China Ranked First In Italy Textile Machinery Exporters In 2009.

On the same day at the relevant forum held by Italy Pavilion in World Expo, Shanghai, Claudio Chirata said that China ranked fourth in the top 10 export markets of plastics and rubber processing machinery in Italy, after Germany, France and Russia.
China is the largest machine tool manufacturing country in the world, and also the main importer of machine tools.
According to Alfredo Marriott, in 2009, the world financial crisis led to an increase in the number of Italy machine tools in many important export markets, such as a 27.5% decline in exports to Germany, 24.2% decline in exports to France, and a 42% drop in exports to Russia. "Only China's exports grew by more than 27%."
In 2009, China ranked first in Italy textile machinery exporting countries. In those days, China imported more than 250 million euros of textile machinery from Italy, far higher than the second India's 93 million euro imports.
"The huge market demand created by the economic take-off after China's reform and opening up has supported Italy's industrial development."
